About Us

Welcome to my blog named after the short film, One to Six, written and created by Brad Woosley. He chose this title for a poignant reason: Each suicide leaves behind at least six people who are known as “survivors,” meaning those who have lost a loved one through suicide.

My name is Nora and I am a suicide survivor. I launched this site in order to provide insight into the minds of people who are suffering with mental afflictions. We’re here to show others that there are solutions.

Please, use any of the resources that you see here on the homepage at your leisure. You will find that there are a vast majority of outlets to help you through personal struggles. They are ALL strictly hand picked by me, with the sole intention of assuring that they are accredited and confidential. They are NOT paid links and I make no profit from them.

Please view this very brief video. In less than three minutes, it will explain to you more than I could ever put into words:

My best friend, Michael, began my journey towards helping others in need. I never pictured living my life without him. Everyday, I am learning new ways to heal and cope with this loss. Michael took his life at the age of 29 on July 28, 2008 – about a month before his 30th birthday. His twin sister also committed suicide a few years earlier, leaving their mother childless. I made an oath to always be there for their Mom, Susan, as if she were my own.

My goal is to advocate awareness, reduce the social stigma of mental illness and to help those affected by severe depression, emotional pain and suicidal thoughts. This is a support network for people to get access to free educational tools, support groups, and hotlines to prevent further suffering from mental and emotional health afflictions.

This blog, One to Six/Healing and Hope for Mental Health, is in dedication to all survivors, and created in honor of our loved ones.

  2. Hello,

This is a very wonderful cause you’re having. I’m sorry for your loss. I believe that you would be a blessing for those who are suffering. If this could be of help, I would cite a counseling website. They have tonnes of great information about mental health. Best of luck to you.
